First there was ZINGO!!! (Bottom left in photo, derivative of Bingo, but much louder). It involves yelling (“yelling” being the operative word here) the name of the thing on a tile that matches the thing on your card.
FANTASMA!
CASA! ZAPATO! PEZ!
GHOST! HOUSE! SHOE!
FISH!
Then there was UNO! Which, as we all know, involves
yelling UNO! when the time comes.
UNO!
UNO!
Then came the dominos (strictly used for construction of
towers and dream houses). Which of course, involves yelling when the inevitable
earthquake strikes (earthquakes being caused by shaky hands, another child, a
cat, a dog, etc…)
AHHHHHHHH!!! MI CASA!!!
Recently, we remembered everyone’s favorite panic attack
in a box…. Jenga! This has certainly reached similar levels of fame with the
Saturday (or Wednesday, or Thursday, or Monday, or…) night game club. Although
since Alida’s usually down for bed by the time we start, the screaming has to
be on our insides only. Somehow not being able to yell in Jenga only makes it
more stressful. Following are photos of Lomitas
Jenga Champions Lencho and Eduardo.
So great to see the smiles and joy and even hear the silent heart cries of "oh NO" from the lips of these beautiful children!
